What It Does

Automated Video Editing for Premiere Pro takes a folder of clips and a music track, applies a set of rules you define, and produces a fully cut sequence. Cuts can be triggered by music beat detection, volume thresholds, fixed durations, or manually placed markers. The result is a rough-cut timeline ready for final polish, rather than hours of manual trimming.

It’s built for projects where you need a lot of footage covered quickly: event promos, wedding highlights, party reels, VJ loops, and GoPro adventure cuts.

Key Features

Beat and threshold cutting. Cuts can be placed at music volume peaks with adjustable sensitivity, at constant intervals, or at user-placed markers. This gives you control over the edit’s rhythm without manually scrubbing through every clip.

Random footage selection. The plugin pulls clips randomly from your source bin, with options to allow or block repeats and set minimum and maximum shot durations. Useful when you have a large library of similar footage and want variety without manually sequencing it.

Clip start options. Each clip can start from the beginning or from a random point, which helps avoid the “first few seconds of every clip” look common in automated edits.

Opacity dissolve and scale animation. Built-in dissolve transitions and scale/reframe animations can be applied automatically, with control over dissolve length.

Color correction. Basic color correction can be applied as part of the automated pass, reducing a step in post.

Long-clip support. Handles extended footage like GoPro files alongside short clips in the same sequence.

Compatible with Premiere Pro 2021 and later. Current version is 1.0.4.

Who It’s For

Editors who regularly produce high-volume event content, social media highlight reels, or music-driven promos will get the most out of this. It’s also a reasonable fit for solo creators who shoot a lot and want a starting point rather than a blank timeline. It won’t replace a hand-crafted edit, but it removes the tedious first pass.
