What It Does
PQ PostPerfect is a Premiere Pro MOGRT that places safe area guides directly in your preview window for 9x16 vertical content. It shows you exactly where TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts overlay their UI elements, including captions, like buttons, and progress bars, so you can frame your shots and position text without anything getting covered.
A fallback Shape layer version is also included for After Effects users.
Key Features
Platform-specific overlays. Toggle between TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts safe zones individually. Each platform has its own UI layout, and PostPerfect accounts for those differences rather than using a generic guide.
Customizable guides. Adjust the opacity, color, and size of the overlay to suit your preferences or match your footage.
Real-time preview. The guides sit in Premiere’s preview window, so you’re always checking framing against the actual platform layout as you edit.
One-click toggle. Enable or disable the overlay without removing it from your timeline.
Who It’s For
Anyone cutting vertical content regularly will find this useful. Social media editors, YouTube Shorts creators, and agencies producing content across multiple platforms can use it to avoid the common mistake of placing key visuals or lower thirds in areas that get hidden by platform UI. It’s particularly handy when repurposing 16x9 footage for vertical, where framing decisions aren’t always obvious.
Pricing
PQ PostPerfect is a one-time purchase at $12.99, available via aescripts.com. A free trial is available before buying.
