What It Does
Animated Textures is a content pack for Mister Horse’s Animation Composer plugin, giving motion designers access to over 1,000 4K animated texture files organized across 700+ precompositions. The textures span categories like Gunge, Abstract Patterns, Frames, and Brushes, and can be applied to text, shapes, or video footage as a mask or overlay.
Premiere Pro users can access the pack through Adobe Dynamic Link or Premiere Composer, though it was originally built for After Effects.
Key Features
One-click texturing. The “Apply as texture” button inside Animation Composer handles all the layer setup automatically. No manual masking or pre-composing required.
Non-destructive layer structure. Unlike a standard clipping mask workflow, Animation Composer does not duplicate your source layer when applying a texture. You can edit the original layer at any time without updating multiple copies.
Stackable textures. Multiple textures can be applied to a single layer simultaneously. You can reorder them, mask individual textures, and adjust blend modes independently for each one.
Large library with organized collections. The pack includes 18+ collections covering a wide range of styles. A later update added 441 new files across Gunge, Abstract Patterns, Frames, and Brushes categories.

Motion designers who regularly work with textured type, grunge overlays, or stylized graphic elements will get the most out of this pack. It is particularly useful for title sequences, social content, and branded motion graphics where visual texture adds character without a lot of extra compositing work.
