What It Does

AnyTex takes LaTeX math notation as input and outputs animated handwriting-style formulas directly inside Premiere Pro or After Effects. If you create educational videos, online courses, or math-heavy content, it removes the need to export formula animations from a separate application and import them back into your timeline.

Formulas of any complexity are supported, from simple fractions to multi-line equations. The animation mimics a pen drawing each symbol, which suits lecture-style or tutorial content.

Key Features

LaTeX input. Write any formula using standard LaTeX syntax. The plugin processes it and generates the handwriting animation without requiring you to draw or trace anything manually.

Write-on animation. The rendered output animates each element of the formula as if being written by hand, frame by frame.

Free prerequisite software. AnyTex relies on MikTeX or TexLive to compile LaTeX. Both are free to install. The developer recommends MikTeX for faster performance.

5-day free trial. A trial download is available to verify the plugin works on your system before purchasing, which is worth doing given the Windows-only limitation.

Who It’s For

AnyTex is squarely aimed at educators producing video lessons, online course creators, and anyone who regularly needs math formulas on screen. It is not a general-purpose text animation tool. If your work doesn’t involve LaTeX or mathematical notation, it’s not the right fit.

One important constraint: the plugin only runs on Windows 10 or higher. macOS is not supported. Confirm your setup before purchasing.

Pricing

AnyTex is a one-time purchase at $70 USD, sold via aescripts.com. A free 5-day trial is available. Upgrade pricing may be available for prior buyers (login required to check eligibility).
