What It Does
CorridorKey by blace.ai brings Corridor Digital’s CorridorKey AI model into Premiere Pro and After Effects, optimized by the blace.ai engine for speed and stability. It pulls keys from green screen footage using a state-of-the-art AI model, with all processing happening locally on your machine.
A free, open-source version of CorridorKey exists, but this paid implementation is built entirely in C++ and leverages end-to-end GPU acceleration, making it 2x to 4x faster depending on your hardware.
Key Features
Hardware-accelerated rendering. The plugin runs fully on the GPU from start to finish, meaning rendering speed stays consistent whether you’re working in Full HD 8-bit or 4K 32-bit. Benchmarks are based on an RTX 3090, and best performance comes from NVIDIA GPUs with CUDA enabled on Windows.
C++ architecture. No Python environments to install or manage. The plugin is built entirely in C++, which avoids the instability and setup friction that often comes with AI plugins that depend on Python runtimes.
Local processing. Your footage never leaves your machine. Everything is rendered on-device, which matters for client projects with confidentiality requirements.
Simple controls. The interface keeps parameter count low. You get enough control to dial in your key without needing to navigate a complex settings panel. After keying, Adobe’s built-in Advanced Spill Suppressor handles color bleeding cleanup.
Official Corridor Digital collaboration. This isn’t a third-party reverse-engineered port. blace.ai built this in direct partnership with Corridor Digital, whose team spent decades working on the underlying keying model.
Who It’s For
VFX artists and editors who shoot green screen and want faster, more stable AI-based keying than the free CorridorKey alternatives provide. Works best on Windows with a recent NVIDIA GPU. Apple Silicon on macOS Sequoia with 16GB+ RAM is also supported. Other macOS configurations are not currently compatible.
