What It Does
Koji Advance is a 35mm film emulation plugin for Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Final Cut Pro X. Developed in collaboration with Dale Grahn, color timer for Steven Spielberg, it applies the look of real film stocks to digital footage. The idea is to “bake together” the elements of a composition into a finished, unified look rather than leaving each element feeling disconnected.

Key Features
23 film stock presets. Each preset is derived from densitometrically-measured 35mm print stock, so the looks are grounded in real film science rather than approximated visually.
5 film grain stocks. Grain is scanned directly from 35mm negative, making it a genuine analog texture rather than a digital simulation.
Camera format matching. Select your source format (DSLR, RED, Blackmagic, Arri Alexa, and others) before applying a stock, so the emulation accounts for your camera’s color characteristics and handles log-to-Rec.709 conversions where needed.
Built-in color correction controls. Advanced white balance, Lift/Gamma/Gain, Density, and Printer Points give you room to refine the look beyond the preset starting point. Printer Points in particular are a nod to traditional photochemical timing.
Fast rendering. Designed for real-time or near-real-time playback on many systems, which makes it practical for use during the edit rather than only at finishing.
