ClearPlus is a GPU-accelerated color correction plugin for Premiere Pro and After Effects, built specifically for footage that suffers from haze, fog, murky water, or poor lighting. Rather than relying on generic color tools, it provides controls tuned for the physics of these specific problems, like light scattering in haze or color shift underwater.
Key Features
Dehaze slider. Removes atmospheric haze and fog from outdoor footage. The advanced dehaze mode (added in v2.0) reduces the halo artifacts that older dehaze algorithms tend to produce around high-contrast edges.
Shadows and highlights recovery. Separate sliders let you lift dark areas without blowing out the rest of the image. Particularly useful for low-light footage shot in foggy or poorly lit conditions.
Advanced histogram equalization. Boosts contrast while maintaining overall tonal balance. The histogram mode is designed to eliminate the flickering that can appear when applying aggressive contrast adjustments frame to frame.
White balance. Pairs with the dehaze slider for underwater work, where color casts from water depth are a common problem. Getting a natural, neutral result underwater usually requires both tools working together.
