What It Does
Spotlight FX gives Premiere Pro editors a cloud-synced panel with 2,300+ production-ready assets. Transitions, lower thirds, overlays, text templates, and elements all live inside one extension. Double-click to drop an item straight onto your timeline. Everything is MOGRT-based, so you tweak properties right in the Essential Graphics panel without leaving your sequence.
The asset catalog spans transitions (wipes, camera shakes, zooms, glitch cuts, light leaks), titles and lower thirds (headlines, captions, kinetic text), overlays (VHS, film grain, bloom, prism, LUTs), elements (particles, shapes, backgrounds, highlighters), and curated genre packs (YouTube Starter Kit, Wedding, True Crime, Hip Hop Music Video, and more). New assets sync automatically through the cloud. No manual downloads or version juggling.
Key Features
2,300+ MOGRT assets. Every item is a Motion Graphics Template that slots into Premiere Pro’s Essential Graphics panel. Adjust colors, timing, text, and animation parameters without leaving your sequence. All assets are built in-house and tested on real edits.
Spotlight FX panel. A dedicated extension panel inside Premiere Pro for browsing, previewing, and customizing assets. Search by category or keyword, preview before inserting, and adjust parameters in one place.
Layer-based workflow. Stack transitions, titles, and overlays independently on your timeline. Each asset acts as a building block, so you assemble complex looks by combining simple pieces rather than hunting for one preset that does everything.
Free workflow tools. The toolbox ships with utilities Premiere Pro does not have natively: OBS Chapters Extractor, Change Language, and Blending Modes. All free, no subscription needed.
Collect Assets. When you archive or hand off a project, Spotlight FX assets are saved alongside the project file. No missing-media warnings on the other end.
Offline editing. Once downloaded, assets work without an internet connection. The cloud is only needed for fetching new items and updates.
Re-create tutorials. Each featured look includes a step-by-step breakdown inside the app, showing exactly which assets and settings were used. Useful for learning or for quickly matching a reference.
Who It’s For
Premiere Pro editors who want a single source for transitions, titles, and overlays instead of juggling multiple marketplaces and file formats. If you regularly spend time searching for assets, converting formats, or rebuilding effects from scratch, Spotlight FX consolidates that into one panel.
It works well for YouTube creators, wedding videographers, music video editors, and short-form content producers. The genre packs give you a consistent visual style across a series without starting from zero each time.
The free toolbox is worth installing on its own. OBS chapter extraction, language switching, and blending modes fill gaps in Premiere Pro’s built-in feature set, and they cost nothing.
