What It Does

Sunny Day was a lens flare and light leak plugin for Premiere Pro and After Effects. It generated modeled sun flares and light leaks directly in your timeline, useful for footage shot without direct sunlight or for stylized looks that call for warm, blown-out optical effects.

Note: Sunny Day has been discontinued and is no longer available for purchase.

Key Features

Sun styles with auto-animation. Came with 20 responsive sun presets, each of which could auto-animate randomly or respond to camera movement for a more realistic result in tracking shots.

Light leak library. Over 25 auto-animated light leak types, customizable in color and intensity, with the option to build your own using the included high-res blob assets.

Two render modes. A dramatic flare mode for heavy optical effects and a quieter ray mode for subtle, coruscating light additions.

Lens dirt. An optional layer of lens dirt that reacts to other light sources in the frame, keeping the effect grounded in physical plausibility.

Color presets. Quick-match presets designed to suit common footage color temperatures, with full tweakability.

Who It’s For

The plugin targeted editors and colorists working on music videos, travel content, or narrative footage where a sun-drenched or nostalgic look was the goal. The camera-responsive animation made it particularly useful for tracking shots where a static flare overlay would break the illusion.
